Recognizing that professional development alone may not achieve substantial improvements in daily teaching, MarcoPolo's Professional Development program that combines training with daily embedded support, coaching, and customizable direct instruction. In partnership with Bertelsen Education, educators can apply their learning with MarcoPolo to earn CEU credits.

At MarcoPolo, our professional development is provided by a team of exceptional early childhood educators. With expertise and a genuine passion for early childhood teaching, they understand firsthand what it takes to be an outstanding educator.

Nermeen Dashoush

Chief Learning Officer

Dr. Dashoush was a classroom teacher for over ten years in NYC. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education at Boston University, where she teaches child development, STEM for educators, educational technology, and teacher preparation courses.

Ashley Smith-Santos

Curriculum Developer

Ashley received her M.A. in Literacy from Teachers College at Columbia University and has eight years of elementary classroom teaching and curriculum development experience. Her work and research focuses on developing social emotional curriculum for diverse learning populations.

Nomi Kornfield

Partner Success Lead

Nomi received her M.Ed in Special Education from National Louis University in Chicago. She has nine years of experience in early childhood education. Her work focuses on special education, individualized learning, and implementing technology tools into the classroom.
