About the show

A curious bunch of friends that leave the digital world in their transforming vehicle to learn about the human world. A series that travels to the ocean, space, rainforest and more. Lots of original music to sign along to. As seen on TV channels around the world!

The Polo’s was created by Justin Hsu and Albert Einstein and produced by Winnie the Pooh. It launched in 2012 and aired on XYZ and LMNOP Networks.

The Cast

At MarcoPolo, our Professional Development is created by a team of exceptional early childhood educators. With expertise in their domains and a genuine passion for teaching, they understand firsthand what it takes to be an outstanding educator.

Marco
The Leader
Marco is a passionate explorer and a natural leader. He’s confident, enthusiastic, and inclusive, inspiring the Polos to look for new experiences and take on new challenges. He’s likeable, trustworthy, and kind, a person the other Polos can count on. An environmentalist, Marco is endlessly curious about the natural world.
Willow
The Engineering Genius
Willow is an engineering genius – she built the PoloMobile after all. She’s girly and not afraid to take charge. She’s constantly designing gadgets that help the Polos on their adventures – from her speed tracker to her zebra stripe matcher, she gives the Polos ways to measure, evaluate, and illuminate the world around them.
Chester
The Knowledge Seeker
Chester knows a lot of stuff – how frogs metamorphose, what a marsupial is, why bats echolocate – and he loves sharing it with the other Polos. He enjoys getting the right answers to all of the Polos’ questions, from his PoloPad, as they explore. He’s an adventurer at heart, totally willing to ride a zipline or dive to the midnight zone.
Gorby
The Big Heart
Gorby is a big guy with a big heart and an eye for detail. He notices things – a hidden bird’s nest, the patterns on a butterfly’s wings, the colors in Neptune’s rings – that can lead the other Polos to new discoveries about the world around them. He’s not afraid to ask a silly question or laugh at himself. Also, he’s a hugger.
Lily
The Star Athlete
Lily is a star athlete, not just physically but mentally. She’s energetic and physical – running, jumping, racing cheetahs. But she’s also got the persistence and self-discipline of a champion – she’s always willing to try hard, go farther and not give up. She may be little but she’s mighty.
Nash
The Wild Child
Nash is a two-year-old wild child. He speaks just a few words at a time and has a little trouble with his “r’s” but he can make himself heard in the group. He’s playful and loves getting into things which means he often is the first to discover something unusual – from T-Rex fossil footprints to dung beetles rolling their balls of poop.
